"Good quality at excellent value for money"

Excellent value for money with a good scope of services included.Fast track acess to Schiphol airport and central Amsterdam, with numerous public transportation options in the vincinity.Hotel rooms are good standard, with wifi included and hot drinks available within the basic package.This was our third time in the hotel, and most surely will return.

- Overall findings: OK, nice, clean and convenient hotel. Especially the design of ground floor is good.- Check In: did not receive same info as my colleagues re hotel facilities. Needed to ask for it myself.- Check out: believe that clerk was a someone doing internship. Check out took too long with many errors. Worked well in the end.- Room: clean and comfortable rooms. Nothing special, just enough for business stay in AMS. Area for improvement: annoying noise of airco at night...Location: very good to travel office - hotel and hotel - office compared to hotels in the city center. Distance to city center is acceptable: +/- 20 EUR by taxi

"Great room for the value"

Large chain hotel appealing to the business traveler. Located pretty far from the city center, but accessible by tram and metro (30 minute ride), and only 2 blocks away from tram stop and metro station. Breakfast is included and is a huge buffet spread. I did appreciate having a full sized bathtub and tea kettle (tea/coffee station). Cordial front desk staff. This is a large hotel though, so they are very busy at check in and check out times. I got a great deal by going directly through the hotel's website, avoided using a 3rd party travel website.

"Suited well it´s purpose"

The location of the hotel was excellent, since we were participating in a fair at Amsterdam RAI and it was very close to it and easy to find. Train station was near, which was convenient, too. Service was friendly on site, only had some trouble with service on the phone and e-mail regarding reservation and the changes needed before arriving at the hotel. The rooms were clean and quite small but not too small. Breakfast was really good with lots and lots of choice.

"Staying in Novotel Amsterdam City"

I think the hotel is generally a good hotel but the employees do not devote their best to the customers and guest. I know the management is great but employees are not willing to devote the best. They just try to make it simple and get ride of you! The employees in the resturant made several mistake in getting orders and providing the meal which was very unpleasant. I hope the management do something because the hotel looks nice specially resturant, lobby and bar but they need realy to motivate the employee and fire the reckless employees to have a better return.

Beautiful area to stay. surrounded by magnificent Elm (?) trees, an avenue to walk to Number 4 tram. 5 minutes walk or train another 2minutes. 20 minutes to central Amsterdam. End of line for tram so no problem with seat, runs every 10 minutes. Novatel so quiet, clean and very friendly, helpful staff.

Please try and change the carpets to tiles. The location of the hotel is lovely, the rooms are also good. The breakfast is one of the best. value for money. i would like to visit again whenever i visit amsterdam with my family.

Excellent hotel good quality rooms and facilities. Location is at the end of tram no4 line so access to the city is good but factor-in cost of tickets at EUR2.70 each way per person which we used over the 3 days so this can soon add-up for a family of 3/4.

"Avoid if you are a tourist in Amsterdam"

we booked online because the website said that the hotel was only 4.45 km from the city center but in reality the hotel is a good 9 to 10 km from the city center.The tram station is close to the hotel but it takes a good 30 to 40 mins by tram to get into town. The other think we dislike was the late check out penalty which was not informed earlier and the staff very bluntly say sorry but you have to pay.

All round business hotel. Good value for the area. The rooms were not as good as they should have been , the lobby and meeting rooms were of much better standard.I would recommend this hotel for its meeting facilities.

hotel was a bit far from the city, but with the tram stop close its not a problem.parking just outside of the hotel in the public car park is a lot less.good access to the road network from this area.good breakfast, lots of choice.

The Novotel is not only near the RAI station for tram and metro but also located very near teh very beautiful Amsteel Park which is walking distance.
