The price is not the best if you consider the location, but is a good option if you are not using other transportation ways.

We chose this hotel solely for it's proximity to the Arenberg forest. Of which it was very close, however it was approx 10min drive to Valenciennes which maybe would be a problem for others. Usual Novotel standard, comfy/clean bed and facilities

A Clean and a nice Hotel. It is near the highway which were positive for us going to the south of France. The noise from the highway was not heard in the room and we could even have the window open and still have a good night of sleep.

Nice Hotel and friendly staff but we felt rather expensive considering there was no air conditioning. The room on the first floor was a little stuffy on arrival and there was a smell of tobacco smoke. We tried opening the window, but as the hotel is by the side of the A2, there was a lot of traffic noise.

I have stayed at this & many other Novotels many times over the years, but this last trip was a disaster.Breakfast was a complete sham - no hot food avaialable, no yoghurts, Bread but no butter.. the list goes on.I demanded & obtained a refund for the breakfast but the situation is happening more & more often now in Novotel - it seems to me that the staff levels are reducing to rediculous levels and the decent service is not possible at peak times - even though the prices have been jacked up & up over the last few years.In conclusiuon the rooms are fine, the Hotel is quiet, but be prepared for the Basil Fawlty Breakie!
