"Would have preferred the Ibis"
6th October 2011, laurielee1midsummer, Malaga, Spain
I'm not really a Novotel person so that skews this review somewhat. None of us want the swimming pool and games stuff (I overheard the French staff saying the water was freezing anyway) and we stayed here because the Ibis was full. Same location, on a massive retail estate, that was a bit of a drive from Tours and return parking was close to full. Novotel's cooked breakfast offerings are not really high enough quality and I'd rather stick to the cold fayre for less money. Also, I prefer to get my own coffee rather than have some waiter following me with a jug as I choose my table.Biggest letdown was the sofa-bed for the 3rd person in a fairly tired-looking room. It was ancient and had obviously had many more backsides on the right half than the left as it sagged considerably. I gave the bed over to the family and spent the night on the sofa, but not before I'd swallowed enough red wine to blank it out.
"Novotel Tours"

The rooms are very tired and need redecorating. We always have superior rooms and they are not up to our standard. The corridors to the bedrooms are also very poor. The carpets in particular need replacing.
"Tour stopover"
1st September 2011, Stowmarket
Friendly and excellent service, particularly in the restaurant where the energy levels of the waiters was impressive. The hotel was clean and easy to find but the quality of the food in the restaurant was disappointing.
"Novotel Tours Sud - a great place to stay"
8th August 2011, Bedford England
A well appointed hotel with excellant amenities. The staff were most helpful and the service first class. The hotel is well signposted from the motorway - a great bonus for foreign travellers who do not speak fluent French. We enjoyed a good night's sleep and would stay here again if travelling in the area.
"Friendly comfy hotel"
6th May 2011, Haslett, MI.
The hotel was a little hard to find, but once we made it there it was a nice stopover. We stayed one night, on our way to Paris. The room was nice, nothing to complain about. (We had a supreme room.) This was probably the friendliest hotel I stayed in while in France, which I really appreciate! The breakfast was great, they had many things to choose from, and again, the staff in the restaurant were kind and attentive. Free internet that didn't go out was a plus!! They have an outside pool and some kind of play area for kids which looked nice. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool. I think if we had a longer stay I would have been very happy here. The room service was good, and not terribly expensive compared to other places. Not alot to choose from, but this was a smaller hotel. I preferred it over the bigger hotels I stayed at while in the country. (I am not able to walk too far, and this hotel was not so big that I was exhausted.) I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
"Accor ?! why not prepare family rooms before arrival"
2nd May 2011, st peter port
Clean family room...Always find it a bit disappointing that (allthough booked for a family) the staff doesn't do the effort to already prepare the extra beds/towels. Always first have to find out how the couch is transformed (and get your fingers stuck) and have to ask for extra towels at reception....Not specific for this Hotel, just a standard Accor problem !Staff at check in friendly, in bar and restaurant staff friendlyness was average...Although we tried hard, French is not spoken by everyone... so it would have been so easy to give a bit more advise and service (for example a warning that vegetables/potato's where not standard in the menu but had to be ordered seperate...the plate now looked so empty ;-) )Location ideal for passing travel, the Zoo close by (35 minutes, Zooparc de Beauval) and absolute tip !
"Lovely hotel - expensive restaurant"
6th March 2011, Folkestone
This is an ideal hotel for a quick stop over on the way back to Calais - lovely friendly and helpful staff BUT the drinks and restaurant prices are astronomical. We fully intended to eat 'in' but for a family of four with two hungry teenagers, it was way too expensive. The restaurant was empty which am sure is due to the prices (21 euros for bottle of wine about 6 euros for a beer, 23 euros for basically a mixed grill). We opted to eat out of the hotel - there are plenty of commercial restaurants with far better prices and all within walking distance from this hotel but for convenience we would have preferred to eat at the hotel given we had spent 7 hours in the car!I would recommend this Novotel for an overnight stop over as its room prices are comparable and its convenient for the motorway...
