« Beautifully located super hotel »

Marvellous view of the beach and sea from our suite. Loved the sea water swimming pool. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Seafood buffet. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I would love to return.

« Excellent Family Stay »

We had a great stay at the Novotel with our two kids. Major advantage of the hotel is its location, right on the beach, with a wonderful view over the beach and seaside. The restaurant is also reasonably good for the evenings, especially with kids.

« Safe, Sandy, and Substandard »

Before I begin please let me tell you that I am a Gold member of Accor Group and use them throughout the world , This is going to be the most negative and disappointing review of any of their hotels, save for ONE thing. So let me begin. Novotel Le Touquet is built on the beach --it is surrounded by sand dunes to the rear and the most beautiful beach to the front. We went for a holiday with our grandchildren 4 + 6. So lets put the positive. It is incredibly safe for children. Clearly supervision as on any beach is necessary, but there are no cars no traffic except for the tractor that cleans the beach at 8am. The children loved it and as a beach experience it was perfect. High tide still allows infant bathing and low tide is about 500 yards out to the edge of the sea so a very gentle sandy beach. Sorry reader but there is no more good to say about this Novotel. It is built of grey concrete and from the rear on the car park side the only thing which distinguishes it from a prison is the lack of bars at the windows. On the beach side the stonework is crumbling, and underneath the lower floor balconies is a mossy green black stain and bits of the crumbling stone are to be found in the sand where the sun loungers are dispersed. The hotel corridors and rooms have sand in them and on them because the staff are overwhelmed with cleaning, they simply cant keep up with the dozens of naked sandy feet tramping the floors all the time. Our room consisted of an executive room with two bedrooms for the 4 of us ---it was supposed to be air conditioned but it has all been broken for YEARS !!! and so we were given a useless fan which did nothing to cool the room. Sleep quality this summer was terrible because of the heat. The plumbing in the bathroom was old fashioned and frustrating. The water from the sink tap was a dribble ---when I mentioned it to our chamber maid she said all rooms were the same . The mixer tap was so old it hardly mixed and the water in the shower was either too hot or suddenly too cold without touching anything. The basin was moulded plastic dating from the 1980's. We paid £1050 for 5 days in this sweaty hot house --it was a disgrace. Having mentioned it to the staff on check out I understand that my complaints are common to many and Accor group are delaying and delaying upgrading this hotel. Well they wont have to worry about us any more because we shall never return. Food --poor , tepid , and overworked kitchen. Indifferent service.

« Wonderful position but poor rooms »

The position is faultless, right on the beach. sadly, the rooms are below standard and we had an exectitive room. The walls are coated in large jagged plaster, the bathroom was well below standard with a chipped metal bath ,plastic shower curtain and a tall person would hit their head in the shower. We were expecting a sofa bed to lounge on in a supposedly bigger room. What we got was a small extra room with two children sized beds on top of each other and made up. No backs to them so we could not look out to the view in comfort. The rooms are very cluttered too.Comfortable bed though.. The balconies were dirty( OK, it gets windy and there is sand) but the chairs were equally dirty. Breakfasts were very good and there is a pool but very full at the weekend.

« Tired looking Hotel »

Stayed here on Sunday night. Hotel reception busy and welcoming however the room was at the back of the Hotel overlooking the car park . The room although spacious it was looking very tired. The carpets were stained and very threadbare in place with the walls and skirting boards dirty and stained. Considering most of the hotel had huge windows overlooking the beach, these back rooms have a small pokey window at the side so the room felt very claustrophobic. Altogether this Hotel needs a refurbishment to qualify the price they charge for the rooms. There are much better and cheaper options available withing the Town, so shop around.

« Family weekend »

We had a very pleasant weekend but thought the price of the room was excessive for the quality of the room. The bathroom was very old fashioned and needs updating especially the shower (only a shower head over the bath). The room and bathroom was very clean. It would have been nice to drink from an earthenware mug , instead of cardboard and a proper glass not plastic! The car park was inconvenient and the check in time was excessive. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice.

« Nice »

This is a strange hotel! It is right on the beach, but a good mile out of the centre of Le Touquet. It looks like something from a sixties sci - fi movie, for living on the moon, but it is very comfortable, clean, and the staff were most helpful and charming. There are even channels on the TV in English! We only stayed one night, as a stopover on the way home, and probably would not stay again on a stopover, as the location was too far out of town, and there are very few bars & restaurants nearby. Probably ok for a longer stay, and we would consider it for that. Hotel bar and brasserie fine, and the food was excellent. Did not use the main restaurant as it was a fish buffet the night we stayed, and neither of us like fish! It looked fine though, with magnificent views over the sea.

« Le Touquet stopover »

Great location and friendly staff. Restaurant and bar were good. Rooms were OK (maybe a little tired in decor). Only complaint would be the temperature in the rooms - very hot even though it wasn't that hot outside. Didn't use the pool although if you go remember your swimming caps (compulsory and 4 Euros each from the hotel).

Received helpful email giving weather and local info regarding our trip several days beforehand. Excellent customer service at check-in desk and managed to have our room 3 hours early. Great location!
