"Stopover on way to Alps"

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent location close to motorway access. Restaurant nicely presented with helpful staff. Swimming pool ouside must be used if weather allows. Ideal situation for us with a dog.

This hotel was fine as an overnight stay on the way home from skiing, the rooms were basic and fit for purpose but not comfortable enough for more than a 1 -2 night stay. Howvever the costs was low so overall it did it's job. Will use it again next year.

Have stayed at several Novotel's over the years while travelling to and from our holiday destination. Always clean and tidy, friendly, and realistic menus. As my wife and I travel with our 2 Dogs, it goood have them welcomed as well, with small extra charge.Novotels offer good quality hotel comfort for the one night stay. Sain Avold Novotel is set well back off the main road, in a wooded setting, as well as being about a mile from the motorway.

Great location. Great room - breakfast included excellent. Only let down by very poor service at meal in restaurant. Kids - great value, adults - set menu OK value but service appauling - very slow, brought things we didn't ask for, kids eaten their meal before we got our main course, 3 staff serving who were very unco-ordinated in their actions. Kids had to wait ages for their ice cream - not good with at ired 5 year old. Taking the evening meal out of the equation I would recommend the hotel :-)

We had a lovely night here. The foldout sofa beds for our 2 children were very useful, although our 1 year old slept in her travel cot and not the bed. Our 3 year old loved having her own single bed. The free wi-fi was greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

Excellent hotel - well up to Novotel standards.We used it for an overnight stop en route to holidays - as we've done at other Novotels over the years.Worth considering for a longer stay.Much used by the local business community for conferences, Rotary club meetings and so on - usually a good indicator of quality.Dinner, bed and breakfast "package" very good value. Wine a bit pricy - as in many French hotels.

Excellent transit hotel - location just off autoroute - quick in / out. Playground, pool (if it had been warmer), breakfast and comfort perfect for a family. Frustrating that Novotel do not seem to have many other hotels like this that fit the same criteria.
"Friendly and decent accomodation"

Nice enough hotel for a stop over. Rooms were basic but fine and reasonably clean though perhaps a little tired. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were not quite so friendly but not too bad. You can eat outside next to the forest, which is nice.The children's play area is half decent and there are games inside too. Plus there is a small outdoor pool. Overall, not bad. Could do with a lick of paint but I would recommend it.

A stop off en route to Italy - only a couple of hundred yards off the motorway, but very quiet. Great night's sleep thanks to comfortable double bed and comfortable sofa single beds for our 14 and 12 year olds.Would thoroughly recommend.
