Novotel Rouen Sud: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Needs serious refurbishment"

30th January 2012, Morges, Switzerland

A great location, in the woods, easy to each, quiet. But the hotel has not been refurbished for many, many years, except changing the TV set. It badly needs upgrading, painting, changing worn out carpets, hence probably the low rates you can get on Internet.Be careful to your invoice, they tend to include food you did not receive, and when you complain, they feel they are always right and the customer always wrong. Probably needs some adequate training on customer satisfaction.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "pleasant stay"

29th September 2011, Angouleme

My first stay at Novotel Rouen. I would use again and recommend to others..Literie pillows too synthetic and soft for me. Holiday Inn Le touquet has a choice of pillow types. Pleasant . quiet stay. Merci

Novotel Rouen Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Very nice hotel"

20th September 2011, Southampton, United Kingdom

Good hotel in convenient location - 10 minutes from metro into Rouen. Nice bar area and outdoor swimming pool. Plenty of parking. Rooms were clean, tidy & well-equipped. There are other hotels nearby so you have the option of choosing a different restaurant if Novotel is too pricey.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Rouen Sud"

3rd September 2011, Swindon

Hotel easy to find & good distance from centre of Rouen, which is pretty busy. Good amount of parking. Had a light meal, which was fine. Overall, very functional & handy as stop-over for long journeys with a young family.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Holiday stopover"

3rd September 2011, Hinckley

A good, comfortable room and a quiet stopover. it was good value for money as we had booked at half price. Expensive at the full price. A little unhappy that we were given restricted times for our evening meal and at 8.30 pm, it was a little late with a young child. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating and our pet parrot was welcomed without further payment or fuss.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Holiday"

1st September 2011, Fetcham

This was a very nicely located Hotel on the edge of a forest and if we stayed again we would use the forest walk and cycle path, not noisy, the rooms were nice and cleaned daily. The resturant and bar area were also very nice with polite staff providing a good service. The city of Rouen is very historical with some interesting sites to visit.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A stopover between Provebnce and England at Rouen"

1st September 2011, London

I stopped over in Rouen so as to have a days rest and do some sightseeing. The Novotel was ideal as it is in a quiet suburb and easy to find after a long trip and very welcoming. Access to the town is simple on a bus and the Cathedral, Monastery Church and Musee des Beaux Arts are exceptional. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The restauurant is nicely situated with a good choice of food for young and old with friendly service. It was just the ticket. The only confusion, which it would help if it were addressed, is how to leave Rouen to the North. The signposting is misleading.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good for an overnight stay"

14th August 2011, London

Lots of secure parking and welcoming staff. Family room a bit cramped - camp beds for the kids. However a nice hotel for an overnight stopover. Found it a bit too hot and so didn't sleep that well. Ate in resturant for evening meal and also breakfast - food good and plentiful.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good overnight stop"

30th July 2011, Jodles, Brussels

We had a premium room which seemed no different at all from the standard Novotel rooms we have had in the past. Everything was spotless and service was friendly and fast. Pool and garden are lovely with a great little playground. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard, but they certainly rushed you through. Drinks were expensive. Breakfast selection was good. I've stayed in lots of Novotels and this was one of the better experiences.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Stop over on way to and from our holiday destination"

21st July 2011, Crewe

We have stayed at this particular hotel on route to our holiday destination many times and this time was as good as usual although we were unable to obtain a deal which included breakfast so was very expensive. We felt that the hotel was slightly weary outside as the gardens did not look tended but inside was fine and our room was very comfortable. Would be nice though when providing a ketttle and tea and coffee if ordinary tea was included ..not just fruit and mint!

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Satisfactory overnight stay"

19th July 2011, CAtkinandCCC, London, United Kingdom

Very much delivers what you expect from a Novotel. Pleasant out of town location with ample parking, space and amenities (including pool). The rooms was decent, with a good sized bed and comfy (if a little small) couch. The only real frustration was the quality of the cot for our 8-month old. It didn't really have a mattress hence was so uncomfortable that he wasn't going to sleep very well on it. Luckily the couch drops down to a bed and we were able to use that instead. Food quality was fine (although small portions made it relatively expensive).

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Rouen Sud"

13th July 2011, Carcassonne

Ideal hotel to stay if breaking up the journey from England to the south of France or Spain. The restaurant for dinner was open until 10.30 so a late arrival with teens wanting food wasn't a problem. Clean and welcoming - Recommended.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great last night to holiday"

14th June 2011, Hemel Hempstead

We always book this hotel for our last night in France before heading back to England. Hotel staff and friendly and welcoming. Rooms are always very clean, beds are comfortable and a good nights sleep is had by all.

Novotel Rouen Sud: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ideal for visiting Rouen"

29th March 2011, ganucheau, Lot et Garonne

This hotel is easy to access from the motorways, is quiet and yet onlya short distance from the city centre. The young man on reception gave us good advice on parking and eating in the centre and we would definitely stay there again.
