"Cost Cutting"
28th March 2012, Montreux, Switzerland
Novotel's cost cutting measures have clearly gone too far when china tea cups are replaced by paper ones in the room (it does NOT look good even if it is supposed to help the environment), and individual jam jars are withdrawn in favour of communal ones at breakfast (even though breakfast costs 15 euro).I like this hotel for its location and cleanliness (and the fact that its architects seem to have been both blind and devoid of all taste.. but as they say the past is another country, they do things differently there...
"Good deal"
15th March 2012, London
Stayed with wife and two kids, 8 & 12 ... and had a special deal through the Accor newsletter, which made it a great stay.Rooms were quite far down the corridor, past all the rooms for smokers. Thankfully we had made sure that we had a non-smoking room. With four people in the room it was a tight squeeze, but for just one night it's fine.
"Nice hotel, well located and wonderful breakfast"
12th March 2012, Pornichet, France
Excellent breakfast and the beds are very nice for sleeping, That is very important for me.I felt the bathroom and toilet could nave been cleaner. The restuarant could offer a more complete menu and wine list
"no nonsense business hotel"
1st March 2012, Camach0, London, United Kingdom
For the purpose of traveling, this hotel, together with its sister Campanile and Courtepaille restaurant, both on the same site, delivers the perfect business hotel. No thrills, but not let downs. Very agreeable staff. Regular stop over place on way back to UK.
"Excellent stop over"
23rd February 2012, Lincoln, United Kingdom
Ideally situated for channel crossings, always a warm welcome with good sensibly priced food and very easy to find off the motorway. Fourth stay and consistency is great.Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Reims overnight stay en route to Ski"
19th February 2012, Sutton, United Kingdom
This is a nice hotel, good location and as we were travelling with 2 young children, turned out to be the best available. Very happy with the room, beds, bathroom, quiet at night ( kids in bed early). We only used the restaurant for Breakfast which was ok, would have been better if the scrambled eggs had not seemed like made from powder - but could not fault the service which was excellent - and which when you have 2 young ones does make a difference. Would definitely stay here again next year.
"A great place to rest your head while journeying to and from the Alps"
17th February 2012, Melanie G, Oxford, United Kingdom
We've used this hotel two or three times now for a handy stop-over when driving to the Alps on a ski trip. It's just off the Autoroute so no faffing about looking for it; there's loads of free parking, the Reception staff all speak great English, the restaurant (for dinner and breakfast) is absolutely fine, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and - great for teenagers - have free wi-fi. It's not full of atmosphere and old-world charm, but that's not what we need it for.
"Consistently good and reliable hotel group"
8th October 2011, Hungerford, United Kingdom
We always stay at this hotel when travelling from Calais to Geneva. We also always try to stay in a hotel in this group. We stayed at the Sofitel in Dijon in September. The Sofitel at Gatwick. Booked in at the Sofitel in Biarritz later in October.
"Good stopover, Milan to UK"
15th August 2011, High Wycombe
Good value, good location (very convenient for getting into Reims - lovely city, well worth it - plus close to motorway for stopover. Was a bonus to have swimming pool. Room absolutely fine for 1 night (2 Adults 2 Kids). Breakfast good. Cannot fault.
"Excellent stop-over hotel"
9th August 2011, Leicester, UK
Starting with the negatives, only one. The pillows are thin and filled with something so unsupportive it is a shame as it does affect your sleep - but thats the negatives done.Excellent location, acros road from McDonalds (for the kids) and a Carrefour (for the adults), outdoor pool is clean and fine. Bedrooms are smart and modern, very clean with goof faciltiies (safe, kettle, bath and shower, etc). A good location if travelling across France, a bit too far out from town. Safe and plentiful parking at no additional; cost, free wifi in the rooms and excellent service from staff.
"A good deal in Reims"
8th August 2011, fitzsimons, Warwick
We've stayed at the Ibis across the road a few times but this year we got a great deal on the Novotel so stayed there instead. A very comfortable room although there is no lift if you are not on the ground floor. As always in Accor hotels, breakfast is rather expensive. Sadly we just didn't have time to use many of the facilities like the pool and the games.
"Excellent Novotel Hotel"
3rd August 2011, Witney
Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. Easy to find and near autoroute so ideal if travelling through France. We arrived later than expected (after 11pm) but the staff were very helpful and sorted out some food and drink delivered to our room very quickly.
"Tinqueux"
2nd August 2011, Glasgow
We chose the hotel due to its handy location as a stopover on our journey further south, and it provided family rooms. Despite ongoing renovation work to the restaurant and bar areas the hotel povided an friendly and efficient service.
