Easy going one-night stay in large room

Easy to find, next to the motorway. We spent one night here and appreciated the modern building and our room in a separate part of the hotel. The room is large, with enough space to hang clothes, the bathroom is a bit small, but with a separate WC, always appreciated. The lobby is spacious and guests can get water, tea, and coffee. Breakfast was standard. We saw in the main building an entertainment room and the pool outside, which we obviously did not use as it was March and quite cold. There is also enough, easily accessible parking space, which is not a given even in hotels close to the motorway. The city center is a short (10 minutes) drive away.

While the room was nice, and the breakfast was good, I was disappointed because of the noise level in the morning. Some guests apparently thought that the hotel corridor was actually a playground for small children to use early in the morning, running back and forth while screaming at the top of their lungs. And some other guest thought it was a good idea to let their dog bark for long periods of time early in the morning in the same corridor. We were tired after driving a long distance the day before, and needed our rest, but instead we were woken up extra early by all the noise. If I had known it was going to be this noisy, I would have chosen another hotel. I am interested to hear what compensation Accor will offer for the inconvenience.

No Water

Water was turned off sometime in the night. I reported to receptionist at 3:00 as I had and early start at 6:00 for onward drive to Rome (11hr drive). He told me water would be back on at 7:00 so I delayed alarm. Waited until 7:30 but still no water. When checking out another receptionist told be I could use another bedroom but this was now too late as I needed to hit the road. No idea why moving room wasn’t offered earlier as they knew I needed to leave early. No refund, no voucher, no apology. I left my contact details but was no contacted by the manager.

I'm the receptionist you saw at 3am, I'm sorry I didn't offer to change rooms in the middle of the night. We were suddenly surprised by a water leak during the evening. However, I would like to point out that. I told you that you will have to call reception in the morning when you want us to turn the water back on. I didn't tell you that it will automatically come back at 6am. I am sorry for this misunderstanding. Unfortunately I couldn't leave it open all night. I also got you a bottle of sparkling water because you were thirsty. Hoping to see you again in better conditions, and giving you all the satisfaction you hope for. The behaviour of one of the kitchen and reception staffs . They were very rude towards us. We were three families with 3 children and we had 9 glasses. One of the kitchen staffs told us that "we have a lot of glasses for 4 peoples." On saying that we are 9 people, she said sarcastically,"oh really." Then we had another instant when a manager came to our 2 years old and yelled at him and said "STOP" on his face. He was terrified and cried bitterly for the whole day. We spent hours to console the poor guy. I have been at many properties of IBIS In the past. This has been my worst experience so far. Honestly, we felt that they were being RACIST as other children were doing the same but they didn't say a thing. The iltreament was particularly towards us.
