Poorer than an Ibis Budget

Probably the worst hotel breakfast I have had in 10 years. A very limited choice, especially as the meats looked like they had been in the open for several days. The most unsatisfactory element was the "half board". This did not mean a complete evening meal, but 44 Eur (for two people) towards the meal. So, forget a starter, desert and even coffee within the "half board" deal. More trivially, the decor in the reception area looks like it was put together as a primary school project, but with the corridors to the rooms feeling like a prison block. Overall, deeply unimpressive for the price paid.

Goodness! This is a totally different hotel to what it was a year ago. We spent one night as a stopover on our way home and we wish we had kept going instead of spending the money. The staff at the main desk are still helpful and efficient, although quite often absent. Yes, the room was clean, but had worn more than I would expect in that time. The restaurant and breakfast service were shocking. There was no real service. The staff ran around looking busy, but doing very little for guests. The food at dinner was poor quality and tasteless & breakfast was a shoddy affair as well. One table at dinner was about to be cleared despite the fact the guests bags and belongings were all still there and they had only taken small children to the toilet briefly… Terrible price for such poor service and quality. A real disappointment.
