Attention! When we tried to locate the hotel with TomTom-Point of Interest,-Hotels-Novotel Amiens Est, we were led to an empty stretch of highway. We eventually located you by entering "Rue des Indes Noires" into the TomTom. The TomTom did not recognize "Pôle Jules Verne 7"I would only recommend this hotel to a friend if the friend were looking for a convenient overnight stop-over on a route N-S or S-N between a northern French port and the SW of France

"Comfortable Hotel - Recommended"
4th September 2011, London, United Kingdom
Stayed for one night 27 Aug 11 with wife and 6 yr old son. Big free car park, easy check-in with English speaking staff. "Superior" room was a good size, comfotable wide double bed and a reasonable sofa bed for my son, although the pillows were square and could have been better. Fridge/mini bar, free safe, free wi-fi and good TV. Room nice and quiet with blackout curtains. Pre-booked hot breakfast buffet was great. Chilly open air pool had a few insects/leaves in and was not really usable, but there is a nice children's climbing frame. Staff were very helpful. I like a silent room and the fridge did hum, and there was no lift to the 1st floor rooms, but neither was a significant problem. Restaurant and bar prices quite expensive so we didn't use them. Security seemsed good. Hotel located 6km outside Amiens, but with easy access to N25/A29 motorways. Well located to visit Amiens and WW1 battle sites. We enjoyed our stay and I recommend this hotel. Other hotel guests were very reasonable too.
"Good Chain Hotel"
31st August 2011, Walsall
This was one of the better examples of the Novotel chain of hotels. The service was excellent as was the value offered. The menu in the restaurant may not have been adventurous but the quality of the food was good. This hotel is well worth considering for an overnight stop or a short break.
"Worth Considering"

Good quality good value hotel with all that you'd need for an over night stay or a couple of nights to visit the region. Very child friendly with a good restaurant and breakfast room. Food on both my stays has been very good at a reasonable cost.
"A little bit of luxury"
12th August 2011, Metz
This was the first time I had used the Novotel brand and was on the last night of a motorcycle trip through Germany and France. As such it was probably a lot more luxurious than we needed and this was reflected in the price but never the less the excellent room and hotel facilities meant I did not regret booking it. Located conveniently near the city ring road with a secure free car park it ticked all the boxes I was looking for and did not fall short in any way.
"Great value"

Food services need upgrading for better quality and taste. Breakfast one morning ran out of sausages and bacon one hour after opening. If you have a limited menu selection it needs to be extremely good in what you are serving. Restaurants in Amiens are tough competition compared to what this hotel was offering. But staying on the hotel premise is also very handy sometimes and you would like a more than decent meal.
"Annual trip to the Somme region"
23rd June 2011, Newcastle upon Tyne.
We have used this hotel over the past 4 years as a base for our visit to the Somme area and visiting war grave sites and other places of interest. We find the hotel ideally priced to do this and has easy access to Paris, via road or rail if required. The staff have always been friendly, very attentive and the hotel always clean and tidy. Any special requests that we have made have always been met with courtesy and speed.
