"Wi-Fi problem"
7th May 2012, Lyn062, Sunshine Coast, Qld Australia
We found the hotel and staff great.... the only problem was the fi-wi, free downstairs but in the rooms we had to pay, we were told just to log off and we would be able to use the remainder of our time as we needed it. We logged on for approx 35 mins in the morning before we went out for the day, logged out as advised, upon our return we found that the rest of our purchased time had expired. After questioning staff they then advised us that the time would continue to tick down even after we logged off. The only compensation they offered was a free hour of wi-fi in our room considering we had paid for 5 hrs.
"Great location"

Hotel was in great location, really central,10 minutes walk from train station & Alexander Platz. Nice and clean, staff were nice, guy working bar (Mathious) was lovely, enjoyed a chat. Perfect place to explore Berlin.

"6 night stay in Berlin"
28th April 2012, PeterS298, Sevenoaks
Ibis Berlin Mitte did exactly what Ibis Hotels do. It is located 2 tram stops from AlexanderPlatz. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned every day and the window overlooked the main street.
"Berlin experience"
18th April 2012, 84172 Buch am Erlbach
Personal were very efficient, friendly and helpful.Breakfast was, as usual, good. But becoming expensive at €10 (with Accor discount).Room was OK and quiet (apart from noisy guests going to their rooms at 02:00 am).The TV screen was too small for me to enjoy watching TV (I am 69 and my eyes are becoming weak).Gererally Ibis prices are 10 - 15% too expensive, even with the Accor Favorite Guest card, and the competitive hotel chains are comparable and less expensive.
"very fine location and friendly staff"

all in all a very nice stay, we contacted the hotel prior to our stay to get rooms next to each other ( 4 rooms ) and a view our Alexander platz - and we got it
"A terrible Ibis experience"
27th March 2012, Thun, Switzerland
Whilst the hotel itself was well up to Ibis standards - good location, nice room etc., the overall experience was just awful, marred by a highly unprofessional member of staff at checkout. Despite having pre-paid the 3 nights accommodation and settled (in cash) the breakfast bill the night before at Reception, we were literally held-up at checkout at 4 am in the morning by a rude, aggressive receptionist who insisted we hadn't paid, there apparently being no record in the system. I had to unpack all my luggage in the lobby to find the receipt and also my passport in order to "prove" my bone fides. This caused me considerable delay for which there was not even the smallest apology. I was made to feel not like a valued customer but some culprit, this experience having really spoiled the otherwise enjoyable stay.
"Efficient; Pleasant"
22nd March 2012, Szenta
I have begun to think of Ibis Hotels as our first choice to investigate in any city. The Berlin Mitte is no exception -- convenient to transportation & sites; helpful staff; comfortable if not spacious rooms, somewhat institutional but pleasant anyway. They know what they are doing. The web site needs to change its "directions," however. The U2 Senenfelderplatz stop is a far more pleasant (and easier) walk than Rosa Luxemburg, and the tram M2 stops directly AT Alexanderplatz RR and the hotel. Prenzlauerberg is THE place to stay in Berlin.
"Great stay"

The gas station on the left side have all we need to drink and eat much cheaper than on the hotel. The room is fine, as all IBIS hotels are (same size).
"Uncomfortable"
22nd March 2012, Lincoln, United Kingdom
I stayed in this hotel as one of many on a trip through europe. The beds were very uncomfortable (like sleeping on wood). The location is slightly further from alexanderplatz than I thought (my mistake probably). The staff were mostly fine apart from the night manager was quite xenophobic. He expected everyone to talk German and would try his best to ignore those who dont! The room had an adjoing room, needed the key card to keep the electric on, (which means if you need to charge anything, do it whilst in the room and cant charge whilst out of it). There is no room service and a very limited menu. They dont seem to replace the toiletries (toilet roll) as much as one would like. On the plus side it is clean and most of the staff are friendly. It is a cheap hotel so one can't expect much for the money. Overall it does the job for a night or three but I could not of stayed longer.
"Nice hotel"

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good value for money overall. The location is also great because its close to the metro and train station, and is located only 20 minutes away from the airport.
"very good"
6th March 2012, Oradea, Romania
Everything was very good, the room, services and employees. One thing it was missing, the wireless connection in the room.I felt very good, and after buisness meeting I could easily watch TV and relax in the confortable bed.
"Great place to stay."

If you're looking for a budget hotel in Central Berlin go for this one.Wonderfully clean and comfortable rooms with excellent attentive staff. No on site parking but you can park on the street and pay by handy / cell / mobile phone for the period you want to park for.
"A nice chain hotel"
2nd February 2012, Copenhagen, Denmark
Booked with an early booking discount, so good value.Staff at reception was helpful and we were happy that we could check-in after a late flight arriving at about 11 p.m.We were pretty cold in our room the first night, and therefore asked the reception for a blanket which they were not able to give us before the next day when the cleaning staff was back. So that was a bit annoying. The mattresses were very hard so my travel companion had a hard time sleeping. The windows were very soundproof so there was hardly any noise from the main street. We did not book the breakfast buffet in advance and were happy did we didn't. We went down the first morning to check it out and food was really dull. Luckily there were several nice cafés nearby where we had breakfast.Overall a good clean hotel to stay in for business or family, but not somewhere I would stay with friends or partner
"Central and nice"
24th January 2012, Perth
I stayed in the IBIS Alexanderplatz for 3 nights. I was very happy about the value I got for my money. We just come from a trip to croatia where somebody stole money from our creditcard and the service (internet, staff, etc.) helped to sort it out. We plan to return to Berlin in a few years and would stay in this hotel again.
"Great location, excellent staff and superb value"
9th January 2012, Cambridge, United Kingdom
The Berlin Ibis Mitte is a great place for those who want a little bit of comfort, rather than the bustle of the hostel. A short tram ride or 10 minute walk away from Alexanderplatz, this hotel is very well placed to visit all parts of Berlin. Right in the Prenzlauerburg with it's pubs and cafes, it is a great place to stay. A good value breakfast. Free internet access and printing made it very helpful to buy online tickets or check-in online. Book early for excellent deals. It will be my hotel of preference for future Berlin trips.
"Nice"
7th January 2012, Amsterdam
On the overall, good simple hotel with walking distance from alexanderplatz. Wireless just on the hall, on the room need to pay extra.Thank you very much. How would I fill all 200 characters from this tripadvisor ???I hope I can get to it.
"Very good hotel in the city center"
6th January 2012
Very close to Alexanderplatz (center of East Berlin) and museums. Nearby tram station. There is a locked room at the looby where you can securely leave your luggage. Free WiFi at the lobby. Bathroom a little bit small. Good breakfast. Next to a petrol station where you can find a market open day long.
