THE MIRACLE OF THE SEA - At the origin of Thalassa sea & spa lies a miracle, that of the sea.
Thalassa sea & spa, the Accor group's wellness brand, is the number one provider of thalassotherapy and spa treatments in France and abroad.
In 2014, Thalassa sea & spa celebrates its 50th anniversary.
It was 50 years ago that we discovered the incredible regenerating power of the sea, and the benefits of a thalassotherapy stay for body and mind.
The story begins in 1961, when famous French cyclist and three-time winner of the Tour de France, Louis “Louison” Bobet, was recovering from a serious car accident. After undergoing several difficult surgeries, Bobet discovered that the road back to health and fitness lay in the curative properties of seawater. Thoroughly impressed by the healing action of the spa treatments he received, Bobet decided to share this health and wellness miracle,
opening his first thalassotherapy institute in Quiberon in 1964. Thus modern thalassotherapy was born, today embodied by Thalassa sea & spa.
Fifty years on, Thalassa sea & spa stays at the forefront of thalassotherapy with teams of experts, continual innovation, new technologies, revamped programs and movements from around the world.
Proud of this heritage, Thalassa sea & spa perpetuates its exceptional know-how in a setting conducive to regeneration and the restoring of balance between body and mind, between the individual and his or her environment. Far from the stresses of everyday life, Thalassa sea & spa is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and fill your senses with the revitalizing and regenerating effects of the sea.
