General Sales Conditions for Spa packages

ARTICLE 1 RESERVATIONS / CHANGES

Reservations shall be confirmed on the date of receipt of the reservation form together with remittance of the deposit corresponding to 30% of the total amount for the stay booked. For the Thalassa sea & spa sites outside French territory the deposit shall be charged by means of bank card prior to departure. All written confirmation without remittance of this deposit will be deemed null and void. The hotel management will strive to accommodate requests for changes made by the client prior to arrival. Where such requests for changes relate to an extension of the client's stay, an increase in the number of persons involved or the purchase of additional services, only the actual price of such changes will be additionally charged. In all other cases, a handling fee of 30 € per person will be charged. Rooms are available from 3.00 pm onwards and must be vacated by 12 noon.

ARTICLE 2 TREATMENT PROGRAMMES and TREATMENT / HOTEL PACKAGES

Thalassotherapy programmes include 3, 4 or 5 treatments per day depending on the type of programme (alternating between morning and afternoon from day to day), free use of certain facilities of the Fitness Centre (see Thalassa sea & spa general brochure) and the provision of robes and towels at the institute. All package rates including hotel accommodation and the treatment programme offered are for half-board, traditional full board or diet meals (depending on the site). They do not include drinks or various additional services which the client may wish to use during his stay (telephone, laundry facilities ). The price for companions (non-therapy clients) is solely applicable to persons sharing the room of a therapy client.

ARTICLE 3 PRICES

All prices exclude tourist taxes and medical fees* (apart from Thalassa sea & spa sites abroad - see "Our packages include"). Except for special promotional offers, the applicable prices are those shown in the price list, currently in force at the time of reservation. The public rates published in this site are subject to change without prior notice.

ARTICLE 4 MEDICAL CHECK-UPS

Medical check-ups are at the client's initiative, applying the principle of free choice in terms of physician. Applicable to stays from 4 days: clients must present a certificate of medical aptitude. Applicable to stays of less than 4 days: signing of a medical discharge at the institute.

ARTICLE 5 HYGIENE

For reasons of hygiene, it is compulsory to wear a bathing cap and plastic sandals (articles available for purchase on site). In addition, it is recommended that therapy clients bring two swimming costumes. Bathing shorts are not permitted in the swimming pools.

ARTICLE 6 PAYMENT FOR SERVICES

The payment for external treatment programmes (not including accommodation) is made to the thalassotherapy institute. The package rates including hotel accommodation and the treatment programme are settled in full with the hotel, as well as the various services offered by the hotel (certain sites require separate payment for hotel services and treatments). Payment for the treatment programme or package as well as the various additional services must be settled in full before the client's departure. In the package rates including hotel accommodation and the treatment programme (full board/half-board) no refund will be given for meals and treatment days of which the client did not take advantage.

ARTICLE 7 CANCELLATION

All cancellations shall be the subject of written notification (mail, fax, e-mail), whereby a handling fee of 30 € per person will be charged per person effecting cancellation. For all cancellations effected more than 10 days prior to the client's date of arrival the deposit paid will be refunded, following deduction of the handling fee. For all cancellations effected 10 days or less prior to the date of arrival the establishment shall retain the entire deposit remitted.

* Medical treatment and physiotherapy provided in the course of a thalassotherapy programme will not be refunded (circular of the Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Maladie (French national state health insurance office) No. 5698 dated 23 December 1998).
