Nothing special when it comes to this hotel, situated (almost) in the waterfront. Rooms are spacious, the bathroom is small. Breakfast was not so good, variety of food missing. The pool and the bar at top were ok. If you have time take a boat and visit the islands around.

The hotel is located in a dead end. All cars have to u-turn if you are to drive to the hotel and there's no parking. Co-incidently the hotel parking is under maintenance, the car park outside is never sufficient for the hotel guest. Only if you return to the hotel at 8PM or later during weekdays. On weekends the parking is always full. We had to do illegal parking beside the hotel. The unit we reserved has a small kitchenette, which drinking water from the pipe and small basin to wash stuff. There is also microwave and induction cooker available. In the room, there are 2 bedrooms and 2 shower/toilet. Total of 3 A/C unit in the room, which makes it super cold if you keep the temperature below 20c. Check in process is fast and efficient, even though my kids gave them a hard time. Nearby the hotel there are supermarkets (tong hing) which also serve coffee/cakes and some rice/noodle. Along the Gaya street there is the night market on Saturday night and lots of dining options available. If you are driving, you might want to get the parking coupons which comes in multi color booklets and the parking spot has different price based on the color. We use like 9 sheets of the parking coupon for parking from 10 PM to next day 11:30 am.

This is a downtown hotel with the lively Jalan Gaya and Suria Sabah within walking distance. Plenty of quality restaurants nearby as well. Price is also pretty nice and room spacious enough for a short stay. Maintenance, however, is dismal. The whole room is quite rundown with dated towels and blankets. Housekeeping is messy and chaotic. For one day even the dirty towels on floor were not replaced. We had a great experience at Mercure Bristol and never expect this place to be that bad.

We stayed here for 2 nights mid January we got the 2 bedroom unit which was excellent for us and 2 boys. It had a mini kitchen and fridge also. Very clean and excellent staff, the buffet breakfast was awesome. A highlight is the rooftop pool which overlooks the waterfront and islands. It’s close too everything in KK especially Jessalton wharf for boat trips to the islands

Pay RM230++ to get a super tiny & poor maintenance room. The sound proof of the room is kind of worst, what happen on the next door you can hear too and the corridor. The room have no views at all, please be caution before you book, advise to skip this hotel when coming to KK. Service part: Concierge just open the glass door and won’t care about your luggages. Receptionist can charge his phone first then only entertain you even thought you are standing in front of him. Perhaps human error, but experienced the concierge team check-in and check-out, same pattern. The same rate you can get better & bigger room with other hotel.
