Do I recommend it? Actually, almost yes. Would I come back - probably yes, but... Overall, I would give it a rating of 3+. Why? First, there was a technical problem when booking the hotel via the website. So I wrote an email to the hotel. This way I booked two rooms for the period from October 4 to October 8, 2023. The disadvantage of this booking method is the lack of online payment. However, I provided the card details in the form as a guarantee of the reservation. The day before arrival, the hotel tried to charge the cost of one night, but I was not informed about this anywhere in advance. However, the hotel employees - despite having correct data - used a primitive authorization method (without the presence of the customer, the Bank blocks transactions without the 3DS secirut). Nobody called me to ask what was going on. However, I immediately received an e-mail informing me that my reservation was not guaranteed and that there was a risk of its cancellation. I was already on vacation, and the situation stressed me out and resulted in a decline in the quality of my rest. I called the hotel, explained what was going on and that the card was OK (the entire Accor chain uses it for my reservations and it's fine). Zero understanding, and as you can see from the status, I'm not a rare online customer. Instead of understanding, the lady I was talking to started talking to me in Italian (we had spoken in English before). I hope that when she goes on vacation, she knows all the languages in the world. Zero empathy and even a smile upon arrival did not change that. The disgust remained. Very big. It was I who proposed the solution - sending me a link with online payment and paying for the reservation immediately. The hotel didn't offer it, it only threatened to cancel it because "I gave the wrong card." There was stress, my day was slightly ruined. After arriving at the hotel, the crew didn't even apologize to me. I received nothing. Is it normal that the hotel authorizes our cards in a primitive way and poses a security risk? Overall, the rooms were ok, as was the bar. I can't say a bad word here. The location is ok. The restaurant too. The only minus is a broken tap in one of the two rooms, and its repair took two days, even though it was reported immediately. For all the confusion and destruction of part of my holiday, I will expect compensation from Accor.

Metro ride needed to get into the city

This hotel is about 20 -25 mins from the airport and it’s a little out of the way saying that we go used to walking 1.5km to the Metro station palais sport then it was about 6 stops the the Colosseo Metro stop which brings your out right at the colosseum. Rooms were nice open no carpet which I thought was unusual and didn’t feel very comfy, beds were a good size and not too hard reception staff were very good no complaints. Barman and restaurant staff were all good as well. They were very generous when it came to snacks always something on the bar the nibble which was very nice. Rome itself was very disappointing this time far too many people which surprised us being October, and so much rubbish around. This hotel is a good choice if your don’t mind using the metro everyday to get anywhere

The Novotel Roma Eur is very comfortable and in a good location. The air conditioning is very good. The decor is pleasant in the hotel and in the room. The room includes multiple spaces for luggage and unpacking clothes. The journey by taxi to the hotel from Roma Termini was about 30 minutes around 1750 (eur 25) and to FCO Airport 22 minutes around 0700 (eur 50). One item to know is that the bathroom door is translucent glass. An early riser could disturb a late riser. I ate the breakfast (EUR 14 or included in the rate), and it was very good. We found a pleasant bar 10 minutes walk from the hotel, Giovarruscio Ennio, V.le Città d'Europa, 837. The aperitivo snacks are good. We drank Negroni (10) and Campari with soda (6). Another 5 minutes further is Bistrot 4.5, Via Amsterdam, 140, for a pleasant dinner. These are good places to know if you want to get out of the hotel. We recommend this hotel, and we would stay here again.

Great hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff, and special thanks to Andrea (Andrew) at the bar. Staff was very helpful arranging a late checkout. There is a busstop in front of the Hotel and a subway station about 1km away, but can also be reached with the bus and a shopping mall at 500m. I would stay here again for a family holiday or a business stay! When landing on FCO, you can grab a taxi for about 50 euros. We also took a 72 hour public transport pass for 18 euros. Public transport is easy to use and stops at all major landmarks.

Andrea and Alessandra were phenomenal. We were a group of 25 people with specific dietary requirements. They went extra mile to accommodate us. Highly recommend staying at this hotel. We are first timers to Rome and the staff were very friendly and helpful to guide us.
