I was seen by Rado as soon as I walked through the door was greeted with excellent service. He helped me out where he could and offered answers to all of my questions. Definitely will stay again. I really recommend staying here as the staff are very accommodating.

Good location, shame about the bar

Stayed at the Novotel multiple times and hotel staff and facilities are good value for money and close location to Canary Wharf. However, the hotel is badly let down by the bar/restaurant area. The views out over the city are fantastic but unfortunately the service does not match this. With a fairly limited menu coupled with regular slow service I would recommend to avoid and instead enjoy eating and drinking at one of the many places you can find a short walk away over on Canary Wharf instead

Excellent Hotel, Great Service, Everything is clean and the Staff makes every wish come true. The view on the 38 floor is amazing. You can have good foot and exzellent Service in the bar by Aline & Antonella. We will definately come back. It was a great time.

The whole stay was amazing, all staff are very polite and helpful, the breakfast made by lovely was also amazing! From beginning to end it was a very smooth process. I would most definitely come back and would recommend to anybody looking too stay

Worst experience at a 4 star hotel- poor facilities and customer service

My fiance and I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel. My fiancé had booked this hotel as a surprise to celebrate our recent engagement however we encountered a number of issues and unsatisfactory service. Firstly, having booked the hotel mainly due the lovely pool facilities advertised we were very much disgusted when we headed down to the pool area at around 8:45pm. As soon as we entered the pool areas we were appalled to find the state of the facilities- floor wet and dirty, the ceiling paint peeling off and no signs of the hanging chairs to relax in as pictured! The place was such a mess and we both felt very uncomfortable and disgusted. We both agreed that we have seen better, well maintained and cleaner pool facilities in a local leisure centre! it is definitely not something you would expect from an 4* hotel. Secondly when we arrived at the pool there was no way we could relax when we had a family screaming and jumping in and out of the pool despite signs which said this was not acceptable behaviour. Surely the staff need to monitor pool etiquette and enforce the rules as this behaviour was at the expense of all the guests enjoyment and relaxation, not only ours. In addition when we told reception about this we were made to feel our feelings were not listened to and told we should have left the pool and come to the desk immediately, which is not practical given we were in swimming attire. The only compensation offered of a free drink felt very little when our evening as far as we were concerned our evening was already ruined! We felt very stressed and let down and even contemplated leaving the hotel! This was further exacerbated when redeeming the consolation drinks we were accused of not paying! Finally we also had issues with our room which again we reported to reception and was received with more hostility rather than any apologies. There was clearly a hole in the bathroom wall which again is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel! I am very disappointed from this dreadful experience which should have been a memorable one to celebrate our recent engagement! On booking the hotel my fiancé even rang ahead to confirm this and not one thing was done to make it feel special! Definitely avoid if you are looking for a relaxing break!

Thank you for your review about your experience with us. I am so sorry we let you down especially when you were here to celebrate such an occasion. We do rely on our guests to behave appropriately as the leisure area is not manned and I am sorry that they had no regards for other people using the facilities. We do check the CCTV regularly however at times the team are very busy welcoming guests. Of course I am going to address the issues you highlighted and please be assured we take this very seriously. We removed the hanging chairs from the pool area due to H&S issues we encountered but replaced them with new lounge chairs just recently. The ceiling I absolutely agree needs to be addressed and the work is scheduled. However as we need to put the pool area out of service for a number of days, the Easter period is not the best time to do this, again I am sorry. I would appreciate it if you could contact me directly about the issues you had on jacqui.mcmillan@accor.com and also so I can obtain the name you booked under as I am aware of a guest that contacted me who was just getting engaged and I arranged a lovely sparkle and upgrade in the room.
