Worst IBIS experience

When travelling to locations i haven't been before, I tend to rely on my experience, that the IBIS Hotels are a solid choice, clean and with a comparable standard. The IBIS Juiz de Fora was by far my worst experience with IBI so far. The staff is friendly, location is OK. BUT: The infrastructure of the building is a mess, the walls in my room (564) were black from mold, the air was really humid and with a bad smell. The staff excused this with the wet season and humid air, and that the mold would be removed freuqently. In my room it didn't look like this, both in the bathroom and in the bedroom were big black dots, even the curtains were full of mold.

No problems during my stay - staff was efficient - hotel is clean. The only noticeable problem was my bathroom had obviously had been recently flooded from above due to the steaks down the wall not matching the paint color. The water pressure here is so awesome that it often can leak a lot of water through the glass shower doors and make a mess on the floor.

The hotel is very nice. The employees were very polite and general service was good. This is a good option to stay in Juiz de Fora, especially if you do not want to stay downtown. The price was fair and the breakfast was delicious.

Need to improve service quality

I arrived for breakfast at 9.40 am and from 9.40 until 10, I was warned 2 times that the buffet would be removed at 10.00 am. In my opinion lacked training for the attendant and a bit more friendliness with the guests on approach.

At check-in I was charged once more for a room I've already booked and paid in advance. Also entering the room there was trash on the floor and the bed was in a used aspect. I've stayed in this hotel in previous occasions and this is the first time I've been through this. Not a good experience.
