One bad service staff marred the whole experience

Firstly, the rooms are spacious and the toilet is also very spacious, compared to other IBIS Hotels in Europe. So sleep was very comfortable. Location is of course the best if you want to be near to the train station, which is just a few minutes walk. I gave it 3 stars because one of the reception staff was not very helpful. She was unfriendly and refused to let us check in at 1pm, even though we were Accorplus Platinum members, citing that the hotel was full and check-in time was 3pm. We found it a bit unbelievable that occupancy was 100% as there were MANY floors with MANY rooms. However, I must qualify that there were other staff who were very polite and helpful too. So I hope you don’t get the grumpy staff when you check in.

Good location and professional receptionists, but some drawbacks

The location is very good because of its proximity to nearby train and subway station. We had booked two connected rooms. Rooms were modern, but small. However, the room temperature was low since the management has chosen to save some money. There were no refrigerators in rooms, no security boxes and we were provided only one towel for face and body. Once the staff failed to clean one of the rooms and when we returned back to the Hotel they were gone so nobody came to clean even after our requests. Breakfasts were fine with lots of food and variety of choice. The reception staff was very helpful and added a lot of comfort to our stay. I would express my sincere gratitude to Alexander for his professional attitude!

About your feedback regarding the lack of refrigerators and safety boxes at the room we have to explain, that this is unfortunately not part of our service as a 3-star hotel. Lockers are available at the reception and our guests can pick up a key for them. Regarding your comment about the towels, we have to explain that ibis only provides 1 large towel per person in the room as standard - but more can be collected from reception at any time. On a positive note, we're glad you enjoyed the breakfast with its variety of options. We hope to welcome you back as our guest in the future. Excellent Hotel for a Budget Trip

Stayed in this hotel for a 2 night visit to Vienna. Hotel is perfectly located next to the Hauptbahnhof allowing easy access to local areas. Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was a good size and offered a nice view of the surrounding area. Bathroom and shower were excellent. We didn’t have the breakfast so cannot comment. Overall, the stay was very good. If I could suggest improvements, a temperature controlled AC system in the room would have helped regulate the temperature rather than a dial, a mini fridge to store chilled drinks would have been a nice extra, tea and coffee making facilities too. Also, the option for firmer pillows as the ones provided were very soft and thin. However, for a budget hotel, this is a great place to stay and would stay again. The above suggestions would definitely result in 5 stars. Many thanks for a welcoming and pleasant stay.

Affordable and comfortable

Nice and cute.For a vacation trip we chose ibis Vienna Hauptbahnhof as our home base located near the Hauptbahnhof,which is by the way a small pulsating city heart.The accommodation is crafted extremely stylish.A large bed for a single person, warm space lights turn the apartment into a futuristic fortress including all needed fits.Surpass friendly staff and moderate prices at 95 Euro per night conclude this perfect fit.Nice ibis hotel.

Horrible experience!! Had a confirmed booking and arrived at the hotel late in the night. Hotel gave our booking to someone else and no room for us to stay even though we had made a full payment!! Receptionist was very rude and unsempathetic. Found us a room somewhere else and demanded that we have to pay for ourselves 300€ PER NIGHT(our whole budget for the trip) Did not allow us to talk to the manager and no guarantee that we get a refund! Did not even offer us a beverage while we were waitint. Bear in mind this was during the holidays were every hotel was fully booked. NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
