Clean and conveniently located near airport

The hotel was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location was near the airport, which is convenient for an early flight, and they provide shuttle service to the airport at 30mins/1hour interval. The breakfast variety was satisfactory and good. However, there is only 1 lift operating out of 3, which is an issue for the morning check out peak timing. The hotel should reconsider only operating 1 lift for a 5 star hotel.

We stayed in this hotel because we had an early flight to catch back to my country hence we chose this hotel as it is very near & there is a free shuttle airport bus to take. We reached less than 10 mins after boarding the airport shuttle bus. The driver was helpful & friendly to carry our luggage. The room is spacious & clean. There is a huge panda soft toy in the room to welcome the hotel guests. It is lovely to see it. Amenities are basic so do not expect a 5-star hotel to provide everything. Basically this hotel also similar to the hotel we stayed in Fukuoka, Japan where they practice recycling & environment friendly. The toiletries & amenities are given upon request at the hotel reception. There is a Nespresso cafe serving Nespresso coffee & tasty buns. We had our breakfast there & the service was good. The hotel also gives welcome drinks to the hotel guests. The bar is just for relaxation. The housekeeping is acceptable but they did not clear the plate the next morning after we had finished the welcome pastries. The pillows are quite soft also & it is not so comfortable. Hope they can provide firm pillows so we can have a good sleep. Overall, the stay was good if you want to stay near the airport. The hotel staffs are friendly, polite & helpful. Keep it up.

An excellent choice if you are looking at staying near to the airport. The hotel is located just outside Airport Station (A14a) so it makes it extremely convenient and easy to locate. The staff will check with you on your departure flight timing so that they will advise you accordingly on the shuttle bus timing that the hotel provides. The hotel room is cosy to rest but the pillows are too soft and low for me. I would recommend this hotel for guests who are looking at a transit hotel or to rest for a night due to late flight.

This monopoly airport hotel is poor value. Was unable to get answer at hotel from Terminal to find when shuttle started. Never got answer why phone wasn't answered after 6 attempts. Rooms are typical airport hotel but monopoly position exploited even as Gold Accor member

Taiwan’s only Novotel property offers an exceptional stay for airport-goers and tourists alike. I spent a few days exploring Taipei, and while the distance from the hotel to downtown is quite far, the metro makes the journey extremely convenient and comfortable. Just next door is the metro station connecting the airport and all major city sights. The atmosphere in the hotel is refined and classy, with a bright open lobby hosting a Chinese restaurant and breakfast buffet. The hotel is overall very well cared for and contemporary. On the floor on which I stayed (I think the 8th), there’s an executive lounge that looked nice. Service was generally excellent. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and their English fluency was expected and much appreciated. Because I was still jetlagged from my transpacific flight, my sleep schedule was all out of whack, and I wanted to eat some food at the on-site restaurant early in the morning (2am). Even though it was actually open 24/7, to the unknowing eye, it would be hard to tell. I asked the night auditor about food options, and he didn’t mention the restaurant for whatever reason, only the fact that there wasn’t any other food options in the hotel except for a few airport shops. It was only when I asked a second time about the possibility for restaurant service did he call over someone to assist me to a table. The (only) man at the restaurant wasn’t the most friendly, as if I was bothering him for wanting to be served at such an abnormal hour. Upon leaving the restaurant, I ended up noticing an inconspicuous sign with info about how the eatery was open all day and night. Perhaps hotel staff don’t really enjoy having their restaurant open 24/7? Why else would it be so hard to tell for customers and so annoying for staff? It still isn’t a big enough problem to warrant a rating less than five stars, but worth mentioning. My room was small but comfy and very quiet. Surfaces were clean and amenities were updated. I would’ve preferred a king bed rather than doubles, but that’s just the American in me. For the affordable price paid to stay here and the wonderful experience received, I would gladly return to the Novotel TPE and recommend it to any traveler. And remember: the restaurant IS 24/7!
