Lovely place to stay. Staff were very helpful with my parking issues and sorted it out straight away. Highly recommend this place, the staff are truly lovely and the hotel is close to the local high street. The beds were very comfortable and I'm happy any issues I had were resolved so quickly.

I have stayed repeatedly in this hotel over the last 8 years, several times a year, and I find it a really good place to stay. It is inexpensive, simple, comfortable, quiet. Everything I need for a practical visit to the area for family reasons. I feel quite at home there. The rooms are comfy and quiet and the breakfast is good. All good for the price. And the staff are friendly and responsive.

We stayed here with my partner for a week. The room service from MARIA was amazing the place was spotless everytime it was cleaned. Thank you Maria. There was an issue with the parking as we have an electric car the two charging were occupied with non electric vehicles, we spoke to the reception on both days and they said there isnt anything that they can do which is totally unacceptable. Overall recommend!

I always have a lovely time at Elstree & Borehemwood Ibis. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the shower is powerful and roomy and the hotel lobby is well stocked with games, seats and a 24 hour bar for food and drinks but what makes the stay as special as it is, is the staff. They're friendly and always willing to help and go the extra mile. With a special shout out to Limwell who works reception and the bar, he always makes us smile and we love chatting to him. As well as Patricia who goes the extra mile when cleaning your room. You genuinely feel looked after when staying here and I always look forward to returning. See you soon 😁

On the positive side all the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The public areas are spotlessly clean and I could smell the disinfectant from floor cleaning. Parking is great, the car park is just outside the back of the hotel or the civic centre car park behind the hotel. On a negative note the rooms are a different matter. The first room we were allocated smelt awful on entering and the carpet was heavily stained. I requested a change of room. The second room still smelt very unpleasant, needing a window to be kept open. The bathroom had a bad smell of urine and observed the housekeeping wiping over everything in the bathroom with the same cloth and not using any detergent. The toilet wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. If you like sleeping on a plank of wood with hard pillows you’ll be fine. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and were not made up at all during four days, just the duvet straightened. The beds were a mess. The rooms are extremely basic. We had two tea bags and two milk sachets, I had to ask housekeeping for more. There are not even any spoons for making hot drinks, just flimsy sticks. We were extremely disappointed with our stay and will not be using the hotel again.
