Budget hotel with lots of perks

Booked this knowing it was a small space…Fairly easy to find and is close to kings cross station. We inquired about leaving our luggage until we returned to check in and even though it was quite early in the morning our room was ready and they allowed us to check in early. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Room was very clean, furnished ok. Bathroom tight but doable. Linens clean, large fluffy towels. WiFi worked well, A/C good, mattress quite comfy, breakfast more than adequate and certainly more than we expected. Good room to eat but at times quite busy so you need to eat in the waiting area. Reception helpful.

Lack of staff training

I am currently staying at this hotel (will be staying for about 12 consecutive nights). I am the manager of a five star hotel and the quality of the staff at this hotel is not good. They cannot greet you. Attitude is bad. House keeping is too bad (garbage is not thrown away properly. They don't change the bed sheets and covers properly). The only one who is doing it properly is the breakfast staff, a boy. I thought it was a trustworthy hotel, but honestly I am disappointed. I will add to this post if there are any developments. P.S I hung a "please service my room, thanks" plate on the doorknob before noon today * April 2, but they did nothing.

Short stay between Christmas and NYE

We stayed here for three nights in a family room (one Queen Bed and one Bunk Bed). It's reasonable for the price but I have definitely been to better Ibis Budget Hotels in other cities. The breakfast was good, and the room was reasonably clean. Something to add would be that the water would flood the whole bathroom while showering, so we always needed towels on the floor.

An amazing team of focused & polite staff. Big smiles nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms spotless. Comfortable beds. Easy access. Close to city & railway. Even though staff were overworked they never stopped giving perfect service

- Small, but sufficient for us. - Generally clean. - Staff were efficient. - Everything is basic but it's good enough for us. - The most affordable accommodation in town. - Location is good, 7 mins walk to the train station. - With a distance view of the Opera House. That's a plus.
