I stayed here for 1 night. Great location and very clean. Rooms are very basic. Breakfast was ok: standard food .Only thing I missed was a kettle in the room but would definitely recommend for use as a base.

The Ibis Budget Hotel Alexanderplatz is located within walking distance of Alexanderplatz in the heart of Berlin and is easily accessible by public transport, making it a good option for travelers who want to explore Berlin. As the name suggests, the hotel is a budget hotel and the emphasis is on a simple and affordable stay without anything else that drives the cost up. Our guest room was therefore very simple and consisted of a double bed with a bunk bed, a single desk, TV, toilet and shower. The room had fairly well-functioning air conditioning and appeared to be clean and well maintained. The shower and sink were in the bedroom itself, while the toilet was in a separate cubicle. This was a somewhat special solution and had not worked for everyone. The mattress in the room was very hard, but good to sleep in. Bed linen and towels were clean and in good condition. The staff who checked us in and out seemed professional, but I missed something more smiling, commitment and enthusiasm for us as guests. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional fee. The breakfast was served as a buffet and had a good selection of cold cuts, cheese, jam, cereals, salads and bread. In addition, juice, coffee and tea were available. There were no hot dishes on the buffet and we missed eggs. All in all, the stay was as expected in relation to the fact that this was a stay at a budget hotel. However, a little more enthusiasm and commitment from the staff could have raised the experience a couple of notches.

Pros: - Location is great to explore the city, as it's super well connected with public transport, close to Alexanderplatz, Mitte and Prenzlauerberg by foot. - Clean and essential rooms Cons: - Rooms are tiny and bathroom extremely tiny - Too expensive for how basic it is (>100E per night here = not worth it!)

Great hotel that is close enough to Alexanderplatz - the hotel is not really near the square, it's a good 10-15 minute walk. Nice lobby area where you can relax with the fridge area open 24 hours and at a decent price too. The staff are all pretty efficient, not necessarily friendly but hospitality differs from countrybto country. The biggest issue for me was that they wouldn't accept my AccorALL membership number.

Good price, clean. Consistent standard of service that you expect with an Ibis. Great for a no frills, short stay. Staff friendly. Bed was a bit hard for my liking but I guess this is personal taste. Great shower and air conditioning. Area isn't the nicest / safest looking, but the hotel feels safe and secure inside. Located around 10 mins' walk from the nearest U-Bahn and a tram stop right outside.
