Amazing front desk service from three true angels.

Arrived having booked via Booking.com and prepaid, only to find out I had stupidly booked the wrong date and therefore there was no reservation for me. The front desk staff, Marissa, Toni and Raquel were amazing in sorting my error out for me, getting me a room and getting me booked in. They were true angels and I wish all front desk staff were like they were.

Marissa was incredibly friendly and helpful. She assisted me with all my requests and explained everything in detail. Such a pleasure after a very long flight ✈️ The hotel is Conveniently located and the room is comfortable with all the needed items.

Recently had a 2 night stay in a family room for 4 people. Positives: Fair priced room during an easter bank holiday, and good to have a half board offer. Swimming pool and gym available. Close to train station and shops. Negatives: The hotel is opposite a bar and pub. We were in a street facing room and each evening (Saturday and Sunday) it was LOUD music which the windows weren't able to block out. I think this went on until 1100/1115 but I am not certain because I had to zone out the noise. Food quality at dinner is average, the pizza's in particular. While the staff are very friendly at the restaurant, there are not enough of them, therefore service is slow. Unable at dinner to charge additional costs to the room, which I thought would be standard. Meant having to go up to my room and get my card for payment. The room wasn't ready at 255, although I appreciate technically check-in is at 3. Was a bit frustrating. Also at raise the above, check-out, I dislike it when staff don't ask how your stay was. I would have been happy to but was just told 'thanks' when handing in the key and the staff member was content nothing else is owed.

A great place for a little break

Our stay at Novotel on the night of 28th March was great. Check in was speedy, Hugo and Luke at reception were very friendly and helpfully answered all our questions. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was great. Breakfast was self-serve, and everything was as you would expect. Pancakes, selection of bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and a few vegetarian options. Overall a terrific Easter break.

Lovely stay, excellent location

We stayed here for two nights in March for a trip to Legoland. A really lovely hotel in a great location in Reading Town Centre. Close by to all the shops, restaurants and bars. Close to station and any amenities you might need. We used their car park, it has limited spaces and needs to be pre-booked. It was a little tricky to find but definitely worth the money to make it easier to access your car, bring all your bags up and especially if you have a family. The rooms were lovely, very spacious with plenty of room and very clean. Breakfast was super with lots of choice, staff very attentive and friendly across our stay. The pool was lovely too and worth using. Legoland only approx 40 mins from here so a good spot to stay and go. Would definitely stay again if visiting Reading again.
