Check in is at three. I was not allowed to check-in earlier. Fair enough! At 17:00 I could still not access my room because there was a late checkout. Staff were very friendly. The lift from floor six is not working for some reason. The plumbing does not work so there is a constant low-level hum throughout the morning. For some reason the bar is closed on a Sunday evening. Plenty of better hotels nearby.

Typical Ibis with the style of room you would expect if you have stayed at an Ibis hotel before. Location wise it was close to many bars and restaurants and short stroll from St Pauli U-bahn Station. Only had small interaction with staff and found them helpful. In summary modern hotel in good location.

New style Ibis rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Good wifi. Good location by St Pauli Station. Clean rooms. Only disapointment was the breakfast ( Corona times ) very limited including day old dry bread. Local public transport on your doorsteep

If your are looking for a perfect locationd in the very City Center with night life etc - this is a goog idea. If you plan weill in advance try if german Touroperators have rooms available because they normally have a very good rate and most tome the breakfast than is included.

On a work related overnight stay, woken by local restaurant rubbish collection. Massive bang of glasses being emptied into a container. Then asked for a coffee at the reception , which I was happy to pay for. €2.90… no problem… upon specifying which coffee I would like, I got told it is actually €3.60 as it is an espresso not a coffee. Then my colleague got charged for €3.00 for a cup of hot water( he had breakfast which he was paying already…..) not what I call great service… Don’t bother staying here. For the room charge you get s decent accommodation elsewhere in town.
