Everybody knows the f1 hotels are basic and that’s how it was in Tours, but I want to recommend it to anyone on a budget :) The receptionist here (family from Mauritania perhaps) is an absolute marvel! She is kind and polite. We are an English couple - she spoke, great English - had a little problem and she went out of her way to help us. This hotel is very clean and well run on. The rooms are very basic, of course, with a TV but no bathroom. The bathrooms are shared. There are enough of them so that you don’t have to wait and they cleaned more or less constantly as far as I could see. There is a decent car park on site. We had breakfast, included in the price. This was as much coffee as you want and just a very light French breakfast of bread, cake and jam. Many thanks to the wonderful team at F1 Tours!

This is very close to an exit off the A20, very easy to find, next to a supermarket with a petrol station 24/7. We arrived around 2 am, on a Friday night of a busy holiday weekend in August. We could park easily. We had booked at lunchtime for the night on the same day. When we arrived, all the rooms had been booked, so booking beforehand is helpful! The night attendant was available straightaway and welcomed us. The accommodation, showers and WCs were basic and clean., bed comfortable. There was a buffet for continental breakfast with fresh bread. The attendant (different from the night one) was welcoming too and kept the buffet well supplied. Very good value, and very practical!

We stayed here whilst driving south. Quite difficult to find, it is located out of town in a retail park with many eating places. Pre-booked it cost 43 euro for a Monday night. The hotel receptionist was new, apparently the door closes at 12 so we had to move inside on a very hot night. Despite this a stream of clients turned up trying to enter the Hotel, the receptionist had decided to disappear. If we hadn't let people in they would have been stranded outside, a hint not to arrive late. No air co so unbearable during hot summers. The breakfast is not worth it, bread, jam and coffee. You can go across the road to the supermarket for a better deal!

Basic but clean and comfortable room with washbasin. Shared toilets and shower were close along the corridor and very clean. Good value buffet breakfast available before setting off. 24 hour reception staff helpful and friendly. Shopping centre nearby. The only negative was the difficulty in finding entrance drive - it's poorly signed. A track opposite the shopping centre and alongside an old garden centre.

We payed only £24 for the night for two people, so what do you expect? We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist. The room was small and a bit tired. The two single beds were comfortable and bedding clean. There was a tv and the wifi was excellent. There is also a sink and area to hang clothes. The toilets and showers were shared by other guests, so you have to leave the room to go to the toilet. There is also a big shopping centre and returns opposite to buy your dinner. Great value!
