We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with our 2 year old toddler. Very nice and modern decoration, good breakfast with lots of options, rooms sufficiently clean (i believe though that they could vacuum after the 3rd night of a stay as the dust and hair piled up) & very good location and as its name indicates afterall. The only thing i would also like to have -as they do have high speed internet and smart tvs, is the possibility to sign in my account on Netflix, for example. This doesn’t cost anything to the hotel. When you have families as visitors, who may return early at their rooms for babies to sleep it is nice to be able to hear or watch something which is not in hungarian. The apps were there, but not available. It was a satisfactory stay overall, we would go back, probably not with the baby, on a couples trip.

Great for a short break

Pleasantly surprised with this stay. Room was simple, but clean and had everything you need with a nice tv. Bathroom was bigger than expected as some reviews said they were tiny. Very comfy bed and pillows. Fresh towels everyday (which we used to take to Széchenyi Thermal Baths). Breakfast was great, I’m a fussy eater and there’s was a bit of everything, hot and cold. Good coffees & juice selection. Perfect location for exploring Budapest, plenty of shops and restaurants near by too. Taxi from the airport cost us £30 (13,000HUF). We payed £230 b&b for 4 nights, 22nd-25th March, and stayed on the 9th floor (room 909) which gave us a beautiful view. Would recommend!

Nice stay in Budapest

The hotel was right in the centre, but in a quiet location. Our window faced the backyard. The bathroom was relatively large for an Ibis. The staff were very friendly. Late checkout for only 30 euros. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. Nothing to complain about.

We stayed between 27 February- 1 March and everything was great. Special thanks to Atila for help. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable , also breakfast is nice for this level. Anita was very suitable for hospitality. We will come back again.

Unfriendly and rude staff

I’ve been travelling around the world for years and years. I’ve never met so rude and extremely unfriendly staff. More specifically, on the 23rd of December my family and I arrived in the Ibis Budapest centrum at 13:15 and we were informed that we were going to be charged for an early check-in the amount of 30€ per room. I explained to them that I wasn’t aware about the early check-in policy and the reception staff couldn’t understand it. I was really disappointed by their attitude.Also, it is really unprofessional when staff communicate in their language in front of the customers and the customers don’t have any idea of what is going on.I liked the location and the hotel but the low score is because of the unfriendly staff. It’s really disappointing that attitudes like that can ruin the overall experience of a trip.

After investigating your case I came to the conclusion that however yes, there is an early check in policy in our hotel, my colleagues at the reception waved this 30€ extra cost away so the 2 rooms you had booked were occupied by you earlier free of charge. The only time the receptionists were talking to each other was when the male receptionist asked the female receptionist to help him with your check in to speed up the process by splitting the work. We are really sorry that after all you feel disappointed we learn from every guest feedback so thank you for sharing yours. Best regards,
