Ok for short business stays but not much else!

A price that means you can only grumble so much for short one night stays but you wouldn’t want to be here much more than that. The bar and seating areas have been modernised well but that only serves to highlight quite how sad and under resourced the rooms are. The basics are all as sparse and possible and with this in mind it’s really only useful for a 1 night stop gap, perhaps if moving onto Toulouse later the next day. Montauban is worth a visit (especially place de Nationale) but I would advise staying elsewhere if it’s a city break or you are staying for more time. Breakfast was extremely slim on the choice so consider going out for it also. The fitness suite is reasonably well kitted out so this is a plus!

Just a 2-night stay, but I would quite happily have stayed longer. The location was ideal for my purposes, just off the autoroute. Not only was the bedroom large, clean and well equiped, but it was so quiet (surprising given the proximity to the A20), and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and good. I did eat at the restaurant one evening, and I thought that the food (I ate pasta) was ordinary. A final positive note, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We have stayed here often en route to the Pyrenees. It couldn’t really be closer to the motorway and yet it is always peaceful. The hotel is fairly basic but the staff, especially in the restaurant, make it special. This year there was ongoing building work to build a sister hotel next door and a new restaurant, so the dining area was smaller and there was an overflow room. Nonetheless the staff made sure that everything ran smoothly and there was no disruption to our stay. We were able to eat dinner and breakfast outside on the terrace next to the pool. There is a menu but there are always specials and a good selection of local wines. We were pleased to see Claud is still running the show and had a most enjoyable meal. There are walks beside the hotel that also make it a nicer break to a journey. We would like to thank all the staff in the hotel for another excellent stay.

This hotel was a really exceptional surprise. I have travelled the length and breadth of France, the majority of times in 'budget-chain' environments: this was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Excellent, courteous, communicative-the presentation was outstanding. The staff, unlike the normal French attitude to service which consists of a series of shrugs and grunts, had obviously been well-trained; even the dinner each night was more than adequate and served with attention. It was a pleasure to stay here.

We have stayed several times over the years at this hotel, it is a stopover on our way to the Pyrenees and very easily accessed from the motorway with good parking. Every time we stay we have a great welcome and a great evening meal. It has a certain something that sets it apart from the usual IBIS hotel. Although it is next to the motorway it is peaceful and we sleep well. The staff go out of their way to be helpful, quickly answering queries on emails, making sure we have the room we want and generally making us feel like valued guests. Thanks to Valentin and Shirley and especially to Claude. Claude runs the restaurant where there is always a good choice of food, even for a non-meat eater like me, and also good regional wine. Because of Covid it was our first stay for 2 years but it was as good as always.
