A LONG Walk!

We arrived in Terminal 2F and had a long walk to get to the shuttle to take us to Terminal 3 and the Novotel Hotel. I realize that this is the fault of CDG not having a proper shuttle service, but I have never had to walk so far just to get to a shuttle train. The room was fine but we were disappointed that the "king" sized bed was simply two single mattresses pushed together with a gap in between. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom so I could not use my WaterPick to clean my teeth. We were shocked to pay 10Euros for a beer in the bar. Likewise, the food in the restaurant was very expensive.

There was a lovely vibe in this hotel, which was beautifully decorated for Easter. The kids area was handy to have and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Will use again when in CDG.

Great place to stay for a night before a flight. Location is convenient, right in the terminal 3 train station. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Easy check in and out. We request a baby crib and it was set up in our room on our arrival. There is a small play area for children. Would definitely stay again when flying out of CDG

Horrible experience! Avoid! The only positive point of the hotel was the location directly in Terminal 3. First negative point was when we had dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. The manager seated us at a dirty table, we requested it to be cleaned, obviously he gave us a typical French attitude, he took our order after 10 minutes, and still hadn’t cleaned the table, it’s like he wants to teach us a lesson. Second negative point, the beds are horrible, rock hard, and stiff. Woke both nights with a bad back ache. The toilet is separated from the shower. The toilet room is very small. You can hear the water pipes around the walls. Third negative point, the next day we left our room at 1.30pm, we hanged the please make up my room. We came back at 11.30pm, the room was not made. Weirdly enough, the coffee cups and spoons were replaced, but the room was kept as is with the make up my room sign still hanging on our door. Fourth negative point, the next morning , we had the do not disturb sign hanged on our door, at 9.20 am, a man from housekeeping came into the room while we were still sleeping. We were mortified. Fifth negative point, due to the fact housekeeping didn’t make our room the previous night, I needed one towel. At 10.30am I went into the hall, I asked the lady from housekeeping, if I can have a towel, she with a freakin loud voice and attitude said “NO”. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing or seeing. At check out we complained to the manager at the reception, she was very understanding and nice, but clearly nothing could have been done. This was nothing like a Novotel hotel. The experience was like a 1 star motel. Shame on not training your housekeepers who are the main image of the cleanliness of your hotels. Never again staying by the airport and never again staying at Novotel in any other city.

The Novotel was lacking in character, as can be expected in a chain hotel, but it was certainly convenient to the airport. You just walk out the back and get on the tram to your terminal. The room was comfortable enough and the shower adequate. I ate at the hotel restaurant as I was too tired to take the train into the city for dinner. I ordered chicken with a mushroom sauce and potato galette, which came out of the kitchen way too fast, and lukewarm.
