We spent one night at this Sofitel on our way to ski holidays and we couldn’t have asked for a better stopover. Myriam and Rebeca from the Guest Relations team had prepared an amazing set up in the room for our 6 year old. This made her so happy! Beyond this great welcome initiative, we enjoyed a great suite (303) and also had a very good dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. In summary, we will come back for any stay in Strasbourg, thanks to the attention to detail of the entire staff and to the comfy rooms of this hotel.

Great Hotel and close to the main centre

Great hotel and location was excellent, within walking distance to the Christmas Markets. We were given the wrong room configuration and after a very long wait finally able to access room so wasted the whole day. They locked the fridge because I did not want $600 (AUD) to be held on my card as a guarantee. We could not use the fridge for our personal items. I explained it could take up to 5 days for the money to be released as we were from Australia. They should have advised us that the fridge would be locked. Very clean and comfortable beds. Shower not great. Thankyou to Mathieu in Concierge for being so helpful and for assistance with booking restaurants and day trips. Also due to the Christmas markets the roads are closed after 11am. We had to walk with 2 large suitcases from the Station to the hotel. Approx 15 minute walk. I would suggest arriving before 11am if you are not able to walk long distances.

We understand the frustration this caused and regret that it impacted your day. Regarding the issue with the locked fridge, we apologize for not providing clear information in advance. We're glad to hear that you found the beds comfortable and the overall cleanliness of the hotel met your expectations. However, we're sorry to learn that the shower did not meet your standards, and we will certainly look into addressing this matter. Every year, for security reasons, the City of Strasbourg decides to close access to the city centre to cars during the Christmas market. However, in order to get through the police checkpoint at the entrance to the city centre and to reach the hotel, we send a form to each of our guests. Once again, we apologize for any frustration caused during your stay, and we genuinely appreciate your feedback. Great location

The hotel is located just off the shopping district and tram. It is an easy walk but just far enough to be away from the crowds. The staff was wonderful and did their best to make the stay enjoyable. The small food stalls outside the entrance was a nice treat offering great food options. The hotel rooms and halls could use some updating but this did not take away from the enjoyment of the property. Great place to stay if you are visiting the Christmas market.

Amazing staff, warm welcome and seamless chcekin. On checkin we requested a change of room and the management stepped in to accomodate our rrequest despite being a busy season. Nice location Very good service Good food. Only wish the rooms had some storage facility. The bathroom floors are dated and chipped at places.

Not worth the price they charge

👎👎👎We had two nights at this hotel booked last minute $800 AUD a night and you don’t even get breakfast, we arrived after 9pm and as Diamond Accor we were hopeful of being looked after but we’re not even thanked for our loyalty, it was our worst Sofitel experience ever, we loved Sofitel Bali, Sofitel Singapore & Sofitel London, As the very first Sofitel they should be the best! They are far from it. It was only when I gave feedback at the Customer relations desk the following morning, that we got acknowledgement of our Status, Miriam was very apologetic and tried to escalate to see if she could get us breakfast for the following day but the answer was no, She did have send to our room a lovely tray of treats to make us feel welcome ( A 1/2 size bottle of sparking, pretzels fruit biscuits) and she let me choose from their advent calendar a lovely Christmas tree ornament, So I thank her enormously for what she did for us but doesn’t change the fact that they need to recognise their Loyal Accor members from first arrival esp their top tiers. My suggestion is if you stay here don’t choose the luxury room as it is only slighter bigger than the lower category, Some other Australians also staying there for 2 nights, wouldn’t recommend either, they were in a junior suite with city views for 2 nights $2100AUD which the view was of a side Ally with garbage trucks, they asked about rooms being so hot even on the lowest setting but were told it’s to stop Mould, It was uncomfortable to sleep and we had to sleep above the covers. The reception area is even hotter, I felt like I should be in shorts and Tshirt to be comfortable. Our previous Trip was at the Best western Strasbourg with free breakfast at 1/3 of the cost & We would prefer to stay their next trip. Lift you game Sofitel Strasbourg you were the worlds first Sofitel but you are far from the best!!
