Stayed here for three nights. Check in was easy (i had already checked in throuh the Accor app). All the staff I dealt with were so friendly and helpful, they really made my stay one to remember! I had a room on the 1st floor. Big room with all that you need. Was a bit surprised by the tini UHT milk on offer but it was replenished every day. House keeping staff were really lovely too. Easy parking - Saturday night was a bit full so had to park further away but still easy enough. Room service was okay. I got the burger - easy to order and it came quick but unfortunetly it was cold, as were the chips. Luggage storage was great. $20 for parking each day was a bit steep. Easy check out. Would stay again

As a former Accor Member, I decided to stay at the Novotel on this trip (in Auckland 2-3 nights a week on business) with my wife as it was her 50th birthday and wanted a nice hotel (we were looking for a new car for her as her present). However, when a very high end car was in front of us while exiting the premises, she was surprised someone so wealthy would stay there. Which says alot I believe. Also, I found the power points around the work station were not there, I had to plug my Compter in one point, set up a fake desk in the middle of the room and plug my printer in the light switch by the bed. The light plug by the work station did not take a 3 point pin, so on traveling for work it was extremely disappointing. Also, as a smoker, I found that not having a seating facility in the smoking area out the front was a let down and forced me to sit in the entrance way while having a break. Lastly, on the Television Channels, I found it was a good selection, however, was extremely disappointed that while there was a space for it, the room did not show Americas most watched (and by some margin) Fox News. If a hotel can show CNN, Sky and Al Jazerra, it can also show Fox. There is a reason Fox is so popular among American watchers, because it is the most balanced of all the networks. It challenges the mainstream, which most business owners do also. I was considering getting a New Membership, as I can book well in advance and get better rates, however, I believe the Novotel has much to improve on first.
