Well located but not too comfy

The location is hard to beat, the hotel is 5 min walk from the central train station, but there’s nothing more to add on the comfort side. Our stay fell on the unusually hot days in April, and the air conditioning was not functioning: at night the air in the room was hot and humid. When we reported this to the management, their reply was “it became hot too soon, we didn’t have time to bring the air conditioning to summer mode”.

Dear Mr. V., I am sorry that you were unable to have a restful night, and I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused. Unfortunately, our air conditioning system, which happens to be used in most hotels, continues to reach its technical limits and allows individual adjustments within a limited range only. I assure you that we are currently consulting specialists to find a solution that will leave our guests completely satisfied. Hotel is superbly well located in Dusseldorf Centre - rail station is only 5 minutes walk. Staff were very pleasant, professional and helpful

Arrived & found sofa bed not made up. Went to reception and asked for this to be carried out while we visited the city. On returning later in the night we found this handed be completed and were told the receptionist had put it down to be done the next day ! I asked for a sheet to do it myself and gave my son the pillows and duvet from my bed. Unfortunately not acceptable, however everything else about the stay was ok
