Lack of power points near the bed to charge devices & the bath/ shower is a struggle to get in if you don’t see the step Also no information in the room in regards to the restaurant downstairs

I’ve stayed many times at the Novotel Auckland Airport, sooooooooo convenient, walk out the terminal and 1 minute later in hotel. Had a great view this time of the airport planes which was good to watch. Spacious room and prob the best hotel bed I’ve ever stayed in. So comfy.

Staff lacking ethical values

Although the room was nice and comfortable, the staff's attitude was quite disheartening and disappointing. I returned to NZ after a long 27h flight back from Europe and was extremely tired, therefore I forgot my charger in the room and realised that after a few hours after I came back home. Despite my phone and email tryings to ask the staff to help me recover it, as it wouldn't have been anywhere else, as I used it there last time and came home afterwards; one of the receptionists was rude in her tone over the phone and after trying to email another staff member to ask for help in recovering my charger, eventually they've told me they couldn't find it. Obviously someone took it after I checked out. It was very stressful for me on top of me being exhausted. I never expected this from one of the toppest hotels in Auckland. So that's why, I feel cheated on and disappointed in their services along with their ethical principles and values. Not to mention poor customer service. I've been emailing them for the past 2 weeks trying to sort out my accommodation while being overseas, and good thing I thought of starting early because their response was always taking at least 2-3 days! This is unacceptable for such a reputation.
